In all honesty, “happily ever after” doesn’t exist forever. There are moments of it in your life in which you feel like you are living in a fairytale…but that, in reality, does not last forever.
I don’t mean to be depressing or pessimistic about the subject, but that is the truth in my opinion. Whether you agree with it or not is your choice. We might have different viewpoints, different ways of looking at things, and that’s totally fine. We are different people. I don’t expect everyone to see things my way all the time.
This “happily ever after” moment might be a romantic walk on the beach with your significant other at a very good time in your relationship, or having a cute dinner under the stars with candle light around you. This moment might be talking to your friends you haven’t seen for a very long time. You might be finally reaching that goal of yours that you’ve been trying so hard to just reach. You could be falling for a person who might be this person partner you never thought you would find. Etc.
But these things end. They do.
Soon you will facing other issues (varying on your situation personally) like health problems, financial issues, mortgage, etc. There will be bumps in the road. The “fairytale” will end. Maybe it will start again soon after, but it will end for some time whether you’d like it or not.
Just like how dreams start and end. You never know what is going to happen. Life is a mystery like that. All you can hope for is that your “happy ever after” will return and be with you shortly after your road block. You can hope that you will survive through the bumps and turns. Maybe then…maybe then…you will achieve this place in your life where you will be happy for good. Maybe you’ll end your life in piece and quiet.
Sorry for the depressing ending.
Things do always come to an end…
